The Anne Germond Legacy Fund (AGLF) continues to grow in strength, thanks to the generosity of parishes, institutions, and individuals across the Diocese of Algoma. As of December 2025, the Anne Germond Legacy Fund stands at approximately $1.2 million, following more than $54,000 in new support received since September.

This recent growth reflects both significant leadership gifts and the steady generosity of the wider diocesan community. Among the highlights is a generous $20,000 contribution from Thorneloe University, a gift that speaks to Thorneloe’s longstanding relationship with the Diocese of Algoma and its shared commitment to theological education, leadership, and the life of the Church.
The Fund was also strengthened through the St. Nicholas’ Dinner, hosted by the Thunder Bay–North Shore Deanery on December 5. The event raised $20,000 in support of the Anne Germond Legacy Fund, demonstrating the power of community-led fundraising and the deep affection felt across the diocese for sustaining strong episcopal leadership.
In addition to these two major contributions—together totaling $40,000—the Fund has received more than $14,000 in additional donations from parishes and individuals since September. These gifts, offered quietly and faithfully, reflect the shared responsibility many feel for the future of episcopal ministry in Algoma.
“These gifts are a powerful sign of trust and shared commitment,” said Archbishop Anne Germond. “I am deeply grateful for the generosity shown by institutions, parishes, and individuals alike. Every gift to the Anne Germond Legacy Fund is an investment in the future of episcopal leadership in Algoma and in the people we are called to serve.”
