Leaving a gift in your will to the Diocese of Algoma Endowment Fund (known publicly as the Anne Germond Legacy Fund) is a powerful way to support faithful, sustainable leadership in Algoma for generations to come.
Your legacy gift will help ensure the long-term strength of episcopal ministry in our diocese—resourcing the Bishop’s office for leadership, pastoral care, and innovation well into the future.
Suggested Bequest Language
You can use the following language when preparing or updating your will:
“My Trustee shall pay or transfer to the Anglican Diocese of Algoma, charitable registration number 119238202RR0001, the sum of $_____ (or _____% of the residue of my estate), to be directed to the Diocese of Algoma Endowment Fund, held by the Anglican Foundation of Canada. This fund is known publicly as the Anne Germond Legacy Fund and supports episcopal ministry in the Diocese of Algoma.”
Power to vary clause: If, in the opinion of the Anglican Foundation of Canada, it becomes impossible, inadvisable, or impractical to use the gift for the specified purpose, the Foundation may use it in a way that most closely aligns with the donor’s original intent.
